The Caring Teacher Award, organised by NIE, acknowledges and rewards teachers who show care and concern for the holistic development of their students and go the extra mile to ensure they grow up to be confident and independent learners. At the national level this year, Mrs Kalai Sundaram was awarded the Commendation Award for the Caring Teacher Award. She received the award from former Education Minister, Mr Ng Chee Meng.
